My dear sisters!

” My dear friend, being single, like being married should be considered a very special and enjoyable time in the providence of God. It should not be considered a mere circumstance or a curse from which one should try desperately to flee.

Being single is a time to learn of God and of ourselves, a time to discover who we are in Christ, and to grow in Christlikeness. It is a time to be zealous for good works and involved in ministry to others.

Being single has a magic of its own that should be enjoyed in its time because once passed it may not return. There is nothing quite so sad as a woman now married who regrets what she could have been and done with her life while single. All was lost for the sake of hurrying to be married without consideration for the plan or work of God. Every season in life has a beauty and wonder of its own. My prayer for all single Christian women is that they might enjoy their time in spite of the lies of the world. That they might be demanding and not settle for anything less than the perfect will of God. That they might wait patiently on God who is the giver of every good and perfect gift. That they might be like Esther, using whatever time God deems necessary to make them beautiful on the inside and out.

-Charo & Paul Washer

Lead Me Sanctus Real

I look around and see my wonderful life
Almost perfect from the outside
In picture frames I see my beautiful wife
Always smiling
But on the inside, I can hear her saying…

“Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can’t
Don’t leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, what about us?

Show me you’re willing to fight
That I’m still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone”

I see their faces, look in their innocent eyes
They’re just children from the outside
I’m working hard, I tell myself they’ll be fine
They’re independent
But on the inside, I can hear them saying…

“Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can’t
Don’t leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, but what about us?

Show me you’re willing to fight
That I’m still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone”

So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I’m called to be
Oh, Father, show me the way
To lead them
Won’t You lead me?

To lead them with strong hands
To stand up when they can’t
Don’t want to leave them hungry for love,
Chasing things that I could give up

I’ll show them I’m willing to fight
And give them the best of my life
So we can call this our home
Lead me, ‘cause I can’t do this alone

Father, lead me, ‘cause I can’t do this alone

You Are Everything Matthew West

You Are Everything -Matthew West

See you Shining through…

These past few months.. I have been complaing a lot about serving Elementary… Today, I asked myself why I even started serving in the first place; I rewinded my memory, and was taken back to the first day I entered those doors to Elementary.

I came with such an enthusiastic and young heart. I came to love on His pure and beauitful children—the young ones He adores and loves. Time passed, I was struck with Life, and got lost in my own thoughts. I lost myself somewhere in the middle, and neglected Him in Elementary.

How foolish was I to think that serving Elementary was such a bothersome “duty.” I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t hard. It was. But.. today I was reminded of why I was sent there: To have the holy spirit use me to shower them with His love. Giggle. He really is perfect, huh?

Thanks God, for the reminder. I Hope to meet you tonight.
See you, Love.

An unexpected surprise

I learn so much from the people I least expect to learn from.

I talked to a stranger today; a lovely stranger.
I don’t really know where the courage came from but I had some nerve in me to question a random stranger about a little girl whom she was sitting right next to. So I asked, with such fast judement, “Hello! Aww, Is she your daughter?”
However, without being aggravated at my ignorant question, she right away gave me a proud answer,

“ohh noo, she’s actually my granddaughter!”
with that reply, she hugged her granddaughter and then pulled the girl’s long bangs aside from her adorable face and kissed her right smack in the middle of her right cheek.

“She is five right now, mmhmm”

right then and there, I knew where I was suppose to be; right next to these two very wonderful people.

So I sat down wanting to learn more about these two people.

We started by girl-chatting which then evolved into becoming a real conversation about life. Somehow we ended up talking about her exciting life.
She told me that she has been taking sporadic adventures to different places in this country with the help of her hitchhike thumb.
Soon she will be taking her lovely granddaugther to all the places she explored! Around the end of our conversation, she told me,
“life’s an adventure! Take whatever measures necessary in order for you to do something exciting!”

See, the simple meaning to this story is that:

We should always be willing to listen to whomever we encounter. Be willing to listen to the lives and the stories that they have to share, just be willing to receive.. but at the same time.. to give. To give your own stories!

A 5 year old boy asked his friend, "What is friendship?"

suupnaomi:

He replied, “Friendship is when you steal my chocolates everyday from my bag, and yet I still keep them in the same place.”
